Nearly all electrical work requires certification to meet Bs7671 Requirements
Whether it’s a new electrical installation, new consumer unit, new circuit or small minor works, these all must be certified and registered for Part P building compliance.
All domestic properties (houses, flats etc) are supposed to be inspected and tested every 10 years and an electrical Installation condition report issued (EICR)
Rental properties must be inspected and tested every 5 years and landlords have a duty of care and by law have to ensure that these are done.
Commercial & Industrial Property Inspections
Commercial properties and industrial properties also have to be inspected. The frequency of testing is dependent on what type of building they are.

Domestic Electrical Certification
We find that most homeowners who are looking to sell and need certification leave it until the last minute to get it done.
If possible, try not to leave it until the last minute, because practically every property needs some type of electrical remedial work carried out, this will probably delay your sale.
By law, electrical completion certificates and Part P Certificates can only be issued by the registered electrician carrying out the works.
DIY electrical and non-registered electricians works cannot be certified by 3rd parties, so please be careful who you choose, because it always ends up costing more.
